Abstract: The evaluation covered the 61 schemes scheduled to be in operation in the summer of 1999. Visits, with&#xD;
interviews, were made to 31 sites and telephone interviews were conducted with the scheme leaders in a further 20 schemes.Overall the schemes have generated a very positive feeling among pupils and teachers alike and no negative views on any aspect of the scheme activities and outcomes were found.</description>
