| Description: | This article is based on a case-study which forms part of Brookes’ research investigating the experiences of academically gifted children as they transfer from primary to secondary school. An outline of ‘Andrew’s’ KS2/3 transfer is presented followed by some issues for consideration in the transfer of gifted and talented pupils more generally. The data which informs this study was derived from structured interviews with both Andrew and his mother over the course of four years, Year 5 to Year 8, alongside his respective form teachers/tutors. The attached file is a draft of a paper that appeared in Management Update. We are waiting confirmation of the volume, issue and page numbers from the publisher. |
