Abstract: In accordance with the terms of reference, the research findings have enabled the formulation of an estimate of the number of children who are coming into contact with the statutory services as a result of being in a domestic violence situation. In addition, valuable feedback from health professionals, childcare organisations and the RUC, has been gained as a result of the survey and consultation process. This has enabled PricewaterhouseCoopers to make clear recommendations on how data collection and monitoring of domestic violence can be radically improved.
